Hi! Jade here, blogging for Apples & Pears Clothing about the latest outfits we’ve got in.
A couple of weeks ago my 10-year-old daughter, Bean, and I had a fun evening at the Elmstead Market Plus-Size Fashion Show. As so many young girls today, Bean is very concerned with what is fashionable and I was intrigued to see how she would react to seeing models in the flesh. Well, these women had some gorgeous dresses to show off and they certainly knew how to strut their stuff! <br /></span></div>

I actually quite like the slight blurriness of this shot as it really captures Kat’s sassy swing and how fabulously the dress fitted her!
Some of the outfits brought audible gasps of admiration from Bean and other audience members and it was such a positive experience for her. Seeing the beautiful, vibrant, stylish Apples & Pears models sashay down the walkway was a very welcome antidote to the usual bombardment of images of impossible ‘perfection’.
Amongst the dresses shown, my particular favourite was a very elegant blue and mustard dress, which suited the super-sassy Kat to a tee, feminine yet not girly – it would work perfectly for the office, or even an autumn wedding.

Another take-no-nonsense outfit that exudes confidence is this black dress with contrasting white collar. Marnie looked powerful, smart and like she could take on the world in this. Comfortable and easy to coordinate this is a really useful piece that packs a real punch for an incredible price. |

These smart and sassy outfits are perfect for the days when we need to rock up and rule the world, but, of course, Apples & Pears also cater to the more romantic amongst us who love a flirty floral too! And who could resist Cara in this sweet but striking black floral midi dress? Easy wear and easy care, we can see this one being pulled out for almost any occasion. Dress it smarter with a jacket and heels for work, or pick out one of the accent colours and wear it with statement flats on the weekend… it works either way:

And also turning up the sass was Becky, rocking a black and white bar-code wrap dress. This is a limited edition we can see becoming a firm favourite, season after season. We’ve long known the power of a wrap dress to cater to curves, but this one is crisp, sharp and just a little different. 
And for ultimate feminine flair, check out Kat in this gorgeous paradise print swing dress, with a hint of retro glamour. This has got to be the perfect choice for date night, or cocktails with the girls, teamed with a cute little bolero cardigan and heels now, and as a show-stopper on its own in the warmer months. All of these outfits are great value and as you’ll see from the snapshots, don’t just work on paper! Sweet or sassy, take your pick – or indulge both sides of your personality by picking two!
